SPRING...LET IT SPRING UP

I am home loving on two little boys with runny noses this morning.  I was going through my verse cards that my sweet Chicago girlfriend sent me, and this one just jumped out at me.

I confess I was reading through my cards a little quickly, and I misread this verse as "now it is spring; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."  I quickly realized what I had done and reread the verse as it should be, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a NEW thing in you.  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."  Isaiah 43: 18-19
But I felt the the Lord teaching me that IT IS SPRING.  The winter is over; it is behind me.  I have made it through the dreary winter, am living in the budding spring, and looking forward to the warm summer.  I don't need to keep looking back because there is so much hope in today.  He is making new ways and giving me new streams every day.
It is SPRING and HE IS SPRINGING UP INSIDE ME.  He is doing a NEW THING IN ME.  Today I get the awesome privilege and gift of seeing Him provide and work in me.  I am excited and pumped.  How can I not do my part today when He is so freely willing to give me so much.  Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness.  "Your love, oh Lord, reaches to the Heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the great deep." Psalms 36:5-6
